Basic Second Season Outfit

Manolito's basic outfit in the second season remains unchanged from the first season.  The only possible change is the length of his hair which is a bit longer than the first season.

The Shirt
In the second season Mano is seen more often in his gold shirt without the brown jacket.  Like the jacket, this article of clothing comes through much use and abuse with no signs of wear.

The The Jacket and Bandana

Mano's jacket comes through some very rough use in the first season, but still looks great in the second season with very few signs of wear.  It is easier to see the leather tooling on the lapel trim in the picture on the left below.  He still wears his red paisley bandana as he has from the start.

The Hat

Mano's Spanish-style hat remains unchanged from the first season and while he is seen more often now wearing it on his head, he is still frequently the only one in a group of men who is not wearing his hat.

The Pants

Mano's pants remain the same as the first season, a fine gray stripe with a leather pocket and leg trim, decorated with circular medallions or tooling.

The Holster Set

Mano has the same flashy pistol and holster set as the first season with the Montoya "M" with what appears to be an arrow through it on the buckle.  In several scenes he is shown with his holster slung over his shoulder.  When he is held hostage in "A Way of Justice" his captors take his pistol, but leave him with the holster set.

Dressed Up and Undressed

In the second season I haven't found Mano in any of his fancy dress suits.  Instead he dresses up by wearing a ruffled white shirt and black string tie with his regular jacket and pants.  In "The Lion Sleeps" he wears this shirt with his dark suit, the first time we see this suit which appears again in the third and fourth seasons.  While the second season doesn't include the nightclothes and long johns shots of the first season, it does include Mano's only bath tub scene of the series, which has unfortunately been cut from recent broadcasts of "Shadow of the Wind".

The dark dress suit, above, includes a maroon waistband or cummerbund and has a similar medallion side trim on the leg as his everyday pants.  We have seen this ruffled shirt before in the first and second seasons, but this is the first we have seen it alone, without a jacket.

Special Outfits
Mano has three episodes in the second season where he wears a special outfit.  One is the rebellious wastrel outfit he wears in "Glory Soldiers", the only episode of the second season where he appears unshaven and with a significant beard.  This outfit appears to be the same one he wore in "The Terrorist" in the first season.  It includes a white print shirt, brown vest, tan pants, and a straw sombrero.  He continues to wear his regular red bandana and his fancy holster rig, shown worn over his shoulder on the left below.  This outfit also sometimes includes the coarse woven green poncho.

In "No Irish Need Apply" Mano disguises himself as a poor peon in his scheme to assist the miners.  This appears to be a standard light cotton peon outfit over which he sometimes wears the green poncho we saw in "The Glory Soldiers".  He also uses the same straw sombrero.  You can still see the holster set under his poncho.

In "North to Tucson" Mano and John dress in the bandits' outfits in order to gain entry into the camp where Victoria is being held hostage.  Unfortunately this episode has not been broadcast in many years so the picture quality is low.  Below are three photos of Mano in this disguise.
