With a sad start to the New Year we report the death of stuntman and
actor Jerry
Summers who played Ira Bean on The High Chaparral. Jerry was
a favorite member of the bunkhouse gang and a renowned stuntman in
the film industry. He died early January 1,
2006 at his home in California.
When we
recently sent him a copy of the slide show from the 2005 Reunion he
responded with his appreciation and said he looked forward to
attending the next reunion. While he will not be joining us now, the
spirit of Ira will certainly continue on at the High Chaparral. |
