Basic First Season Outfit
Blue's basic outfit has only a few modest changes from the pilot. His signature maroon striped shirt looks very similar to the one from the pilot.  His vest is now brown instead of black and his pants seem lighter colored than they were in the pilot.  His hat and holster set appear to be the same but the white bandana is a new addition.

The Shirt
Blue's everyday shirt appears to be a basic cotton striped shirt with double breast pockets that buttons all the way down the front. Either Blue has a drawer full of these shirts or it is an especially sturdy and easily patchable shirt because it comes through a lot of abuse and still looks good the next day.  Besides being shot through with an arrow in the pilot, it is seriously torn in "A Hanging Offense" and again in "The Peacemaker" as shown below.

The Vest and Bandana

Blue's vest is a short brown leather vest with a rolled lapel collar and a single string closure.  His vest in the pilot was a similar style but was black instead of brown.  His bandana looks like a light colored muslin and he is rarely seen without it.  While not as creative as Buck is with knots, he does wear it in different positions, usually unfolded, but variously towards the front, back, or side.

The Hat

Blue's hat, beige with a brown leather hat band, appears to be the same one he ended the pilot in.  It is a plain hat compared to the other men's and a bit shorter.  He doesn't tend to adorn it the way Buck does his, so I can't explain the foliage that decorates it in "Doctor from Dodge", shown below.  His holster set is smaller and plainer than the other men's.  In the reverse of John's, Blue's pants belt is black and his gun belt is brown.

Long Johns
Blue has several occasions throughout the series to appear in his long johns or his union suit.  In the first season those include "Best Man for the Job", when he has removed his shirt to do the hot dirty work of making adobe bricks, and "Survival" where it is not clear what has happened to the maroon shirt.  "Survival" also involves a much different look for both Blue and John as they endure the rigors of the hot sun and dehydration.

The Ponchos

Where Buck and John have leather overcoats for chilly nights, Blue uses a poncho.  In the first part of the first season his poncho is a brown, loose weave fabric.  By the time we get to "The Terrorist" 13 episodes later, this poncho appears to have shrunk.  Shortly after that it is replaced altogether with a green poncho that looks like leather or at least a much heavier, tighter weave.  This green poncho appears in at least three first season episodes and continues into the second.

Special Outfits
Blue has several special outfits in the first season, the most unique being the boxing outfit he wears in "Champion of the Western World".  This is a very snug fitting tank top and tights that appear to be a spandex forerunner.  In "The Peacemaker" he wears the same white dress shirt for Moonfire's graveside service that he wore briefly in the pilot.  Apparently he forgot he still had this shirt in "Gold is Where You Leave It", leading Victoria to purchase a new dress shirt for him to wear for dinner.  While this blue-striped shirt is not as outrageous as the one she chose for Buck, Blue is similarly never seen wearing it again.  Also from that episode he appears once in his regular outfit so covered in dust that it is barely recognizable.  In "The Assassins" Blue dresses as Soldado's injured son in a ruse to bring Soldado out of hiding.
